Week 8:
This weeks photo is one of the few photos that I liked after completing the 3rd Annual Scott Kelby World Wide Photowalk. This past Saturday, I spent two hours walking around the downtown area of St. John's, where I came across this very cool hot rod on New Gower Street.

Blair & Steph's Wedding
Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 8:42PM Week 6
This weekend I attended the wedding of two of my close friends, Blair & Stephanie, at The Wilds in Salmonier. While there I was able to take a lot of photos of the ceremony and reception. This was a great learning experience as it offer many opportunity's and challenges. I don't often have the chance to take a lot of portrait shots. I also had the chance to use a Canon Speedlight and was forced to shoot in low light conditions.
Below is my clear favorite shot that I was able to capture of the newlyweds.

Quidi Vidi
Monday, July 5, 2010 at 7:35PM Week 5
This is a photo that I took last week during a walk along the trail around Quidi Vidi Lake in St. John's. It was late in the evening, about thirty minutes before sunset, and the colors from the setting sun made for some great lighting.

Northern Gannets and Waterfalls
Monday, June 28, 2010 at 6:48PM Week 4
This past weekend, I took a trip to Cape St. Mary's on the South West Coast of the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland. This was part of a day long trip with 10 members of Camera 35, a local photography club. It was a very clear day at the Cape, which I have been told is very rare. I was able to get two nice shots of the Northern Gannets that nest at Bird Rock on the coast.

On the way back to St. John's, we stopped into Cataracts Provincial Park where there are two nice water falls on either side of the bridge over the river. This is a photo that I took of the Southern waterfall.
